Boston Dean Cook

We went in on Thurs. the 16th at 10 am to get induced and he arrived at 6:48 pm. It was a little long but luckily I really didn't feel a whole lot of pain because I had them give me an epidural right after they broke my water.
Colby and I let Savannah be there during the whole process and I'm so glad we did. She was so excited to see little Boston and when it came time to push she and my dad went out and every couple of minutes she would poke her head in and ask if he was here yet. When she heard his little cry she came in again and asked if that was him crying. It was really special to have her there. Also the nurse who delivered Savannah 9 years ago also delivered Boston. She was my first and last nurse to assist me with my deliveries. I loved having be my nurse the first time and loved her even more the second time. The whole day was just a really special day for me.
I probably should have blogged about his birth sooner because today I'm feeling a little blue and don't feel like writing a whole lot. How ever I do want to say that prior to having him I wasn't very excited about it all. So I had been praying for that instant love to be there as soon as I saw his sweet little face. Not only was my prayer answered but I have felt really quite good considering it all. I'm so in love with this little guy. He is so beautiful and seems to have a calm disposition. I know that may not last but I'll take it for as long as it does. I feel so blessed to have a healthy beautiful little boy and the kids have done really well with him. All of them want to do what ever they can to help him and me. Auttumn did really well for the first few days but has kind of struggled the last couple of days. Hopefully that doesn't last too long.

Oh Amy, I am so excited for you guys, congrats!!!! What a darling little guy he is. What can I do for you? Are they bringing meals? I should call someone and see. I think it's very cool that you let Savannah in, what a special experience for her. Congrats girl.

Congrats Amy! I am tearing up as I read this! What a sweet post, thank you for sharing it! So I just have to say that you look
bu-t-ful! You look like you are on your way to compete in a pageant, not give birth to a baby! WOW!
Well congrats again, I hope that you and Boston get some rest!

Amy,

How are you doing? Do you have dark rings under your eyes like me???? I am so in love with our little guy as I'm sure you are with yours. Kelly made me realize that our babies were born a day apart. Our little guy came VERY QUICKLY (2 hours start to finish) on the 15th! I hope you're doing well--you look wonderful in the pictures. Love to your family! Julie

I love him! How are you feeling loves? I hate the baby blues... hopefully they'll go away soon. Mine happened upon me at about day 4 and left after 10 days or so, so hopefully your time is about up. If you need anything don't hesitate to ask. Does Noel need to come play at our house? I'll call yo this week
